Jami is considered one of the greatest poets and writers of Iran in the 9th century, and many consider him the last of the great Persian-speaking poets. His real name is Nur al-Din Abul-Barakat Abd al-Rahman Nizam al-Din Ahmad ibn Muhammad, and his pen name is Jami, because he was born in the city of Jam, one of the cities of Khorasan.

عبدالرحمن جامی نویسنده، شاعر، موسیقیدان و صوفی مطرح قرن نهم هجری و خالق کتابهایی چون «هفت اورنگ» و «بهارستان» است که یکی از نامدارترین شاعران دورهی تیموریان به شمار میآید. به او لقب «خاتمالشعرا» دادهاند.
